From an early age growing up in London, I had a fascination and delight with the gardens in London's parks and estate houses. After earning a B.A. in Geography from Oxford University, I apprenticed as a gardener in Kensington Gardens, London. When I returned to the States, I went on to earn a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard.
After graduation I worked in the Office of Dan Kiley, Charlotte, Vermont. I opened my own office in 1992 and moved my practice to South Strafford in 2006.
Most recently, I continued my education with a Community Sustainability workshop at Tufts University, led by Sarah James and Torjorn Lahti of the Natural Step.
